Overview

Shafer's Service Work Generator is a complete module dedicated to organizing additional work found out in the field while on a service or maintenance call.

Every technician sees additional work while out in the field, whether it be a simple broken drain line or an older piece of equipment in need of repair or replacement. Often times the technician may be too busy to note the information on the work order, or if it is noted, it is filed away and forgotten about. The Service Work Generator captures the information from the work order or technician worksheet and stores the data in our Pending Incomplete Work (PIW) file. It is then attached to the customer's master file, providing instant access when it is needed the most. Pending incomplete work records can be logged manually or may be imported automatically from Shafer's Mobile Office program. Because this module is interfaced to Dispatching, any pending or incomplete work is displayed whenever the customer calls in for service.

This module is a valuable asset and can assist in increasing revenue, especially during the slower times/seasons of the year. Above all, this module improves customer satisfaction. Customers are better serviced because work is found and fixed as a preventative repair, rather than a crises repair, allowing the customer to better budget for the service. Any additional work found in the field can be noted on a copy of the invoice or work ticket and submitted manually to the back office if necessary. Shafer's Billing Invoice screen has a direct PIW link that will allow the billing operator to perform the data entry without having to leave the invoice screen.

· Interface with Mobile Office

Shafer's Mobile Office Flat Rate billing allows the technician to save any unapproved scenarios as "work found". These records will import to the back office as potential work and will automatically create a pending/incomplete work (PIW) record.
