Shafer's offers two distinctly different fleet monitoring products, one active and the other passive. Active GPS uses a wireless, Wide Area Network (WAN) modem to communicate in real-time with the back office.
Passive GPS uses a close-range, line-of-site downloading device to gather end-of-day data, and stores the data into the travel log.
