Technician/Salesperson Master
Overview Different than the employee search engine and master files, Shafer's Technician/Salesperson search engine contains all records for employees designated as either a technician or sales person (or both).
Like that of other modules, our powerful search engine allows you to filter search results and customize the display format. Shafer's standard folder format contains documentation for training and certification achievements, normal working hours, commission settings, mobile device settings, craft codes, department settings, etc. The user id security settings within Shafer’s allows for the system administrator to deny, limit or permit access to specific folders without giving access to unwarranted areas. The technician file also provides an unlimited notes area for any other information pertaining to the technician.

· Search Engine
Searching for your existing employee records is quick and easy! Our powerful search engine includes three different searchable fields by which to locate specific records. Employees may be found according to their tech id number, name or even a nickname.

· Filters
In addition to using up to three different search fields to locate customers, your data may be mined or filtered up to six different ways to provide users with detailed queries. Filters may be turned on or off and hidden when not in use.

· Display Customization
The Employee Search Engine comes with a standard display format listing search results in a format we have designed. Custom display formats, which are user-defined and can be set up effortlessly, will display only that information which is relevant to the user or department.

· Folder Format
All Shafer's master files are structured in a simple, file folder format. Nine different folders are present within every employee record created: Technician, Profile, Vacation, Certifications, Training, Training Notes. Clicking on the folder will open it and display the content. For details about each of employee folders, click the image at right.

· Add New
Adding a new employee record is quick and easy. Simply select the New button from the main search engine screen and then enter in the employees information. The technician number field will allow you to continue to use the sequence you are already using within the infrastructure of your company and you will be able to link the employee number, which will import some employee information (name, etc.). The system will prompt you to enter all mandatory fields necessary to complete the new record.

· Security Settings
Shafer's file security is standard to all modules. For each integrated module you can select Full Access, No Access or Selected Options access for every user. The Selected Options security setting provides: 1) menu options and 2) folder options.
