Payroll
Overview Shafer's Payroll Module is designed to store employee records, accurately calculate city, state, and federal taxes, print payroll checks and gather reliable reporting information. The payroll module design can accommodate companies who wish to run simplistic payrolls, as well as those requiring more advanced features such as time card import from billing and detailed labor costing. Shafers Payroll will allow you to calculate your payroll weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and more. Track your workers compensation accurately and easily with user defined comp codes.
The Employee Master File is a detail record of each employee with associated wages, time card entries, check history, and tax status. Additional notes may be added to the employee record to track performance evaluation comments, educational background, or specific job skills. Each Timecard Entry may be coded separately, permitting calculation of tax liability for multiple cities, states, and worker's compensation rates on one paycheck. During Payroll Processing the system tracks detailed worker’s compensation codes to eliminate costly miscalculations of employer liability, and allows separate general ledger accounting of labor costs. The Sales/Technician Master will enable you to log and maintain records for training and certifications, commission structures and department or craft code designations, plus many other options. The Performance Register lists commission information for each service call and will even split commission between multiple technicians who may have worked on a call. Reprinting paychecks, W-2 printing, and a variety of other Human Resource Reporting tools are available with multiple search and filtering capabilities, completing the payroll module as a well-balanced and flexible accounting tool.
Shafer's is also proud to offer a Direct Deposit payroll option that is a result of a partnership with National Payment.
