Inventory
Overview
The Inventory Module deals with the real needs of inventory management, knowing where to get the part, and getting it on the customer's invoice. Operators can automatically search the companys inventory, including all truck and warehouse locations, to see which items and how many of those items are in stock. For stock items, the system will tell you what the normal stock level should be, and how many you have sold year-to-date.
Finding a part in Inventory is easy. Shafer's Software provides 5 easy ways to find a part: by short part pumber, description, manufacturer part number or name, vendor or UPC code. Find any part, at any location, transfer parts from truck to truck, etc., within seconds.
When processing billing, the same search methods are used. When the part is added to an invoice, the cost, description and retail value are easily imported. A special feature called "Z-Parts" protects against someone purchasing a special item, and then never using it on a job or not getting it on an invoice.
